Copywriting Experience
Wide variety of media to work in.

This is a full time position for someone who is eager to grow professionally and enjoy the company of other talented individuals. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and an incentive bonus plan. - Optimization of publishers and technical assistance when needed.
Who this job is NOT for:
An unthinking drone only doing the minimum work to get by.
Just wanting to grow your personal portfolio and then do your own thing.
Someone looking for a part time gig to fill the gap.
IT / Web Developer
We are looking for a hard working computer/phone system admin who is sick and tired of reading the same old job posts for the same old tech jobs. And is ready to get started in an awesome career with a growing company! We have 30 people now (hence the need for a “computer guy”) and will grow to almost double that by the end of the year.
How to apply right NOW
In order for us to call you for an interview, please send the answers to the 2 questions below regarding the following scenario to careers@usstudentloancenter.org:
You are responsible for setting up computers and phone systems for 25 employees at a new office that will grow to a max of 45 employees. Be as detailed or as vague as you’d like (the VP of Tech will read them, so he will understand what you are talking about).
The system needs to allow for logging in and out of any computer so that multiple people can use the same station without interruption. Both scenarios should have VOIP phones. Be mindful of front end cost, ongoing license cost, and the cost of your time to maintain the system.
There is no “right” or “wrong” answer. This is not a “trick” question (maybe a bit unconventional but not a trick). Don’t worry about fanboyism when it comes to particular technologies (ie, Microsoft vs Linux). Make your case. Not the case you think we want you to make.
Tell us what hardware and software you’d go with and why.
1. You have literally no budget. You get to build your DREAM computer and phone system. (It is alright if this causes you to drool a little bit.)
2. You have an IMPOSSIBLY tight budget. Every single ounce of a penny counts.
That’s it!
Be sure to include your special skills and your salary requirements! Thank you for your time, and just for reading down to the end means a lot to us!
JOB DESCRIPTION
- We are looking for someone who can take care of computers and phones.
Step one: Helping our VP of Tech design and set up the new phone and computer system for our new office.
Step two: If a computer breaks- boom! There you are. If the phones go down- boom! There you are! If someone can’t figure out the copier –boom! There you are again!
Step three:In addition to step two, we want someone to have other skills too: programming skills or nunchuck skills or web skills or videographer skills. Basically, do something else productive in between putting out any fires.
You will be working directly with the VP of Tech and the Executive Director when it comes to making purchases and decisions. In other words, you will be able to have a say in what you have to keep running.
Also, depending on your other skills, you will be working directly with the creative marketing team. - Who we don’t want to work with
1. If you think you “know it all”. Seriously, we want someone who is curious and excited to learn more and figure stuff out.
2. If you don’t like the way this ad is written: why in the word are you still reading it?! Just move on to the next boring job ad and have a great life. We want someone who has a sense of humor (or can at least recognize an attempt at humor).
3. You think you are OWED something because you have advanced degrees. Having advanced degrees is one thing, thinking you DESERVE something because of them is another thing. We are more interested in experience, passion, and personality than with a piece of paper. - Compensation
We are looking for more of an entry level type individual looking to grow with us. BUT, if this ad was up your alley, just tell us what you need to work full time. We will either be able to swing it, or we won’t. Just tell us what you want to make. It is also possible that you might prefer to just do the computer and phone support stuff part time, and not hang around all day. We are open to hearing what you have to say.
